Lot #3307 John Lennon Twice Signed Apple Corps Document, 1972.
John Lennon Twice Signed Document, 1972. A loan agreement, dated August 18, 1972, between Apple Corps S. A. (denoted as a Company incorporated in Switzerland) and John Winston Ono Lennon. This is an unsecured loan agreement for the amount of 30,000 pounds, with an interest rate of 5.5% per annum and repayable forthwith on demand made in writing by SA to Mr. Lennon, who was on the receiving end of this loan. John has actually signed this document twice, once mistakenly in the space designated for Apple Corps S. A. (this is understandable because he was so accustomed to signing on the line next to Apple Corps, although not applicable in this case). He then realized his error and crossed his first signature out, initialed JWL, then proceeded to sign in the correct space to the right of his name. The extra signature and initials help to make this piece even more special. Yoko Ono has also signed. No Reserve.
