Johnny Cash hand written note with a poem, circa 1970's.
An interesting handwritten note with a short
poem, one page, no date (circa 1970s). An apparent
handwritten note to himself regarding touring. Cash writes in part, 'It's what I do. Its what I
love to do'I'm proud of the show and the way
we're doing it now.' Breaking his thought at the
end for a moment of artistic inspiration, Cash
pens a quick poetic verse which reads,'You gave
me a long term dirty deal / I'm gonna let you
know the way / I really - really feel /You're as rotted
as a cantalope / Left in the August sun / If
there ever was a bastard / you are one. 'Apparently
torn into four sections, this sheet shows tape repairation, however all writing remains legible.
