Description
The 280SE Cabriolet was the top of the line model during its run at Mercedes. Built by hand. In 1968 the MSRP was $9,967 before options, or nearly two times the price of a 427 Corvette. This automobile is a rust-free older restoration that is in excellent condition. All components are in working order and the body, top and interior are in excellent condition. This car came equipped with all available options to include power steering, power brakes, automatic transmission with optional floor shift, disc brakes, etc. This car was selected for entry in the 2002 Hilton Head Island Concours d'Elegance which is a testament to its originality. Comes with original tool kit, owners manual, parts manual and showroom sales brochure. Only 1,390 produced during production run 1968-1971, only 184 imported into the United States.
