This car is not a recreation or clone! this is an "original" 1971 hemi challenger r/t that has been given a no expense spared restoration, making it one of the finest in the country! it was originally sold new at pederson motor dodge in vancouver, wa. 1971 was the last production year for hemi e - bodies. It is 1 of the 12 original hemi challenger r/t automatic cars built in 1971 out of a total production of 70 cars (12 automatic & 58 - 4 speed). Due to the low production figures, 1971's are worth over double the value of 1970 hemi e - bodies. It's "n96" shaker hood option and "js23r1b" vin number make this car one of the most valuable and collectable muscle cars in the world. Due to the extreme rarity of the car and the desire to do the finest restoration possible, the car was partially rebodied to some degree reusing the original vin tag with the correct hemi "r1b" vin code as well as matching vin number stamped on the cowl and radiator core support. As many original parts as possible were used during restoration.
