Description
This rare L-89 is one of 16 factory documented cars built. Power steering and brakes, Soft Ray tinted glass, AM-FM radio, transistor ignition, dual side exhaust, rally wheels, positraction 4:11 rear axle and the rare aluminum head, option code L-89. Awarded NCRS Top Flight at chapter, regional and national levels. Full, frame-off restoration, in mint condition with 35,280 miles.
Car comes with documentation including the original order form from Yenko Chevrolet, ordered April 18, 1967 and delivered July 10, 1967. Original window sticker, car shipper sheet, Chevrolet Corvette order sheet, Yenko customer deposit receipt and photographs of car when new.
This is a rare car, with only 11 documented by the L-89 Registry. Although the engine is not the original, it is one of two extra engines produced (18 in total). The car has documentation to support this fact. The VIN has not been stamped on the block, only the factory stamping from Tonawanda, which is an IU, indicating L-89 Aluminum heads and the date code stamping, which is correct for the car.This was done expressly not to destroy the motor's authenticity.
