Description
Lot #1143 - This Pontiac GTO was purchased brand-new by its original owner on August 4, 1967, at Beaman Pontiac, Inc., in Nashville, TN. This well-optioned GTO convertible was ordered from the factory with a 400ci high-output engine, 4-speed manual transmission, power antenna, push-button radio, rear seat speaker, door edge guards, visor vanity mirror, remote-control outside mirror, luggage lamp, under-hood lamp, ignition-switch lamp, custom front and rear seatbelts, custom disc wheels, console, electric clock, power steering, power brakes, tilt steering wheel, red liner fenders, ride and handling springs and shocks, super-lift rear shocks and Safe-T-Track heavy-duty differential with 3.55 posi-traction. The car has tons of original documentation that is included, such as the dealer car shipping record, Window Sticker, owner's manual, convertible top manual, dealership Bill of Sale, customer deposit receipt, Protect-O-Plate warranty, dealership owner's folder, security agreement installment note, Third National Bank payment booklet and more than 40 service receipts from 1967 to 1984, many of which document the mileage. The first owner had the car for 22 years before selling it in 1989 to its second owner, as documented on an odometer statement on April 4, 1989, with 51,407 miles. The third owner commissioned a complete professional restoration that incorporated many NOS parts. The trim code sheet was found under the rear seat on the passenger side and is included. This GTO retains its beautiful original color combination of Signet Gold with gold interior and also retains all of the original sheet metal, original engine, original transmission and original rear end. Since the restoration the car has won Gold Awards at the GTOAA Nationals, Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals and the Pontiac Club International, and was on display at the Pontiac Museum from 2016 to 2017. This car currently has 55,215 original miles (mileage not indicated on the title) and all of the PHS paperwork is included. This show-quality car has recently been completely serviced, which is documented with an invoice that is included.
