Lot #383 - I purchased the 1969 Corvette on 5/9/77. Seven years later I decided that I needed more horsepower. Bo McDaniel a friend and NHRA record holder agreed to build me a 427CID Chevy (big block) Supercharged motor, dual carbs., heat shield, M 22 Rock crusher transmission, 308 posi rear end, stainless calipers, Indy Magna Core radiator with 3 electric fans, power steering, power brakes, power windows, tilt/telescopic steering wheel. This left me with a hole in the hood, next step I needed a fabulous painter, Charlie Murray of Grantsville, MD, front and rear spoilers, fender flares and side mirrors all molded into body, paint Pearl White base, blue fade out, with geometric design in multi-color, finished with gold leaf. Guaranteed me one of a kind. Next up, interior, after several car shows, I decided on Pro-Trim Interiors of New Philly, OH, naugahyde and crushed velour (blue and white with silver trim) door panel and ceiling designed to bring outside color inside, Pioneer super tuner III stereo, Clarion fader, and 4 Babb speakers, the final touch. Now I had the streetcar I wanted. It has won me several 1st place trophies and awards including the Corvette Expo(Knoxville, TN), W Va State Championship Concours X (Clarksburg, WV), Mountaineer Mall Corvette show (Morgantown, WV), Car Crafters, Springtime Breakout show (Fairmont, WV). In 2006, restored again with a fresh motor (427 supercharged) in Dallas, TX, (been driven less than 50 miles!) 2 new carbs, and billet aluminum air cleaner. Paint retouched by original painter. Entered and won 1st place at a ISCA, O'Reilly Auto Parts Autorama in Dallas, TX. Seven Miss West Virginia's also got a free ride in WVU homecoming events. This car is truely a fun and exciting ride.
