Johnny Cash, original, very rare second issue fan club journal, 1959. Of equal, if not greater, scarcity in relation to the first issue. Presented here is the second journal produced for Johnny Cash's very small but devoted first fan club. Johnny's popularity led to the formation of a fan club, started in 1959 by a family friend, Pat Isom. She produced several journals before turning over the club to someone better capable of handling the rapidly growing membership roll. The first two journals were created when the club had only a handful of members. They were produced on a mimeograph machine and hand-assembled with small photos pasted on the pages. Each journal included a personal message from Johnny and his first wife, Vivian, and information on new record releases and upcoming stories to tell all their friends and neighbors about the new, hot and talented young singer. This journal is prominently featured on page 3 of the book "Cash: An American Man", published by Pocketbooks/Simon & Schuster, 2004. NO RESERVE.
