Details
In 2005, the restoration began on this Camaro with the body having no rust or cancer. After being disassembled the entire car was block sanded to make the panels arrow-straight. A GM Cowl Hood was added to this Camaro and then painted in a 1998 Dodge GTS Viper Blue base coat clear coat. Once wet sanded and buffed, the finish came out spectacular. A shortened 1969 Trans Am spoiler was painted black and added to the rear of this Camaro. A new windshield and rear window was added along with new front and rear bumpers. A set of billet running lights and rear RS billet tail lights were added to attain the Pro-touring look. A new grille was added with euro-style clear headlights. All new trim pieces were installed along with a front spoiler and 383 engine badging. To complete the exterior, a set of Budnik Four-Thirty Fatlip wheels and performance tires are mounted on all 4 corners with 20' wheels on the rear and 18' on the front. The standard black interior is new and in excellent condition with a custom painted lower dash, center console with a full set of Stewart Warner gauges, Budnik custom steering wheel, 4-wheel disc brakes, fast-ratio power steering and an AM/FM/cassette stereo. The engine in this incredible Camaro is a Keech-built 383 stroker motor featuring 10.5:1 pistons, Eagle crank, Eagle rods, Crane cam, Crane roller rockers, Edelbrock aluminum intake, Demon carburetor, Edelbrock aluminum water pump, March Performance pulleys, Be Cool aluminum radiator with an electric fan, MSD electronic ignition and a set of jet-coated shorty headers that breathe through a 2 ?' Flowmaster exhaust system. The estimated horsepower on this small block Chevy is 500hp. The shifting duties of the Camaro are taken care of by a 700R4 by Art Carr. You will notice the original shift selector has been replaced with a 4-speed selector. The front suspension has been lowered 2 ?' with a set of Eaton mono-leaf springs and KYB shocks. The front disc brakes are cross-drilled and slotted by Touring Classics while the rear disc brakes are by Baer.
