Details

This Austin-Healey 3000 MKII is the first model to have roll up windows and a proper top attached to the body. The top has a zip out rear window for better ventilation while traveling on a hot day. This Healey has received a total body-off, bare-frame restoration with all panels and the chassis stripped to bare metal. The engine was rebuilt with new .030 pistons, oil pump, hard valve seats and valves for use with unleaded gas, rebuilt rocker shaft assembly, aftermarket rear crankshaft seal and the engine was balanced for smooth operation. All the brake and clutch hydraulics are new including rubber and steel brake and clutch lines. The front calipers were rebuilt. A new gas tank and fuel pump were installed and the carburetors were rebuilt. All the electrical components were rebuilt and include the generator, starter, gauges and relays. The wiring harness is new and a new voltage regulator installed. There are five new stainless steel/chrome wire wheels with five new tires. All chrome is either new or rechromed. The windshield is new and all rubber parts are new. The interior was done with the front seats in leather and the rest of the interior is vinyl and this is the way the interior was done back in 1964 when the car was new. The top is made of English Everflex with a matching boot in biscuit. This model Austin-Healey is a great car for touring with the roll up windows and a proper top.
