This custom 1959 Chevrolet Impala is a professionally built and restored example with custom chassis work to handle the upgraded powerplant, including a 502ci V8 engine with BDS fuel injection and a BDS 871 blower attached to a Gear Vendors 6-speed automatic transmission and Mark Williams rear axle. This example features power steering and Wilwood 4-wheel power disc brakes. It also includes a highly detailed engine compartment, brand-new fuel cell system, new wiring system, two new VIAIR compressors, and air tanks for raising and lowering the RideTech air suspension system.
The exterior includes professionally restored stainless, aluminum and chrome surrounding a Deep Black paint and shaved door handles with remote door poppers. All this rides on Intro 2-piece billet wheels with 19-inch in the front and 20×15 in the rear, covered in Mickey Thompson tires. The interior is restored and customized, including an era-correct black vinyl and striped cloth seat coverings, an OE-style steering wheel and Dakota Digital gauges, with a brand-new Vintage Air system installed, as well as a 2,000-watt Alpine stereo system. This example has over $350,000 invested, with recent upgrades within the last year totaling over $100,000.
