This custom 5-window 1951 Chevrolet 3100 pickup truck is a professional frame-off build with an eye toward street performance. It is powered by a 502/502hp GM high-performance V8 engine with Ram Jet fuel injection and Hooker custom-built headers. The engine is mated to a Turbo 400 automatic transmission with a 2500-rpm stall converter and a 9-inch Ford rear end with 3.70 gears.
The custom-built Roadster Shop chassis was engineered to handle the power. It is equipped with rack & pinion steering and 4-wheel Wilwood disc brakes. The suspension features Heidts independent front suspension with coilovers on the front and rear.
The exterior is painted with a custom Dupont-mix red paint with a 3-inch chop and shaved door handles. The red and tan leather interior features a 1955 Bel Air custom dash with classic gauges, Billet steering column, Vintage Air, power seats and windows, Alpine sound system, and custom red LED lighting throughout.
It rides on custom-built Raceline wheels with 20-inch fronts and 22-inch rears wrapped in new Falken tires. It won the Best Truck in Show at the 2010 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, NV and Best Truck in Show 14th Annual Rocky Mountain Rod and Custom Show. 359 total miles on the build.
