ADRENALINE RUSH: Barrett-Jackson Adds New Ride ’N Drive Experiences to 2023 Scottsdale Auction

As the footprint of each Barrett-Jackson auction site has grown over the years and the auction house continuously develops guest experiences at its events, Barrett-Jackson is adding another dose of adrenaline for auction-goers. What started initially with the participation of Chrysler over two decades ago at the first “Ride ’N Drive” has transformed into several experiences and even the formation of an official “Barrett-Jackson Performance Track” at each auction.

For years the Performance Track has been home to Hot Laps and Thrill Rides that have put guests in the passenger seat with a professional driver in the latest and greatest vehicles from Dodge, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Ford and Toyota. What makes the Hot Laps and Thrill Rides so unique is that guests can experience the performance, speed and handling of a vehicle firsthand while getting to hear the roar of the engine and screeching tires. This year guests can hop into a Dodge Charger or Challenger and a Toyota Supra for a Thrill Ride, available the entire duration of the event, or go for a Hot Lap in a new Chevrolet C8 Corvette or a new Ford Mustang GT starting on Wednesday, January 25.

Unique to the Scottsdale Auction is the recent addition of the Off-Road Experience, which allows guests to ride as a passenger in a RAM TRX 4×4 and soar through the air as the truck navigates the off-road course, complete with jumps as part of the ride. This year Toyota is joining RAM with an off-road experience of its own: the TRD Pro Dirt Ride with its TRD Tacoma and 4Runner. Both RAM and Toyota will be offering their Off-Road Experiences the entirety of the event.

New for the 2023 Scottsdale Auction will be two off-site driving experiences that put guests behind the wheel. Hosted by Volkswagen and Lucid, guests will depart from the auction site at WestWorld in a Volkswagen ID.4 or a Lucid Aire and travel through North Scottsdale on open roads. Lucid and Volkswagen will be offering their driving experiences the duration of the event.
