If there’s one thing Barrett-Jackson knows, you don’t become The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions™ without taking care of valued customers. To show appreciation for the bidders, consignors, vendors, and many others who are instrumental in making the Las Vegas Auction the spectacular event it has become, Barrett-Jackson threw a fabulous opening-night invitation-only gala Wednesday night at the Mandalay Bay Beach. After being greeted by none other than “Elvis Presley” and two cars associated with the King of Rock ‘n Roll—the ’63 Chevrolet Corvette Split Window Coupe (Lot #767.1) made famous in the film “Viva Las Vegas” and the ’67 Cadillac Coupe de Ville often referred to as Elvis and Priscilla’s “Honeymoon Cadillac” (Lot #767)—the more than 1,400 guests headed beachside. Delicious food, live music from the band Soul Survivor, and opening remarks from Barrett-Jackson Chairman and CEO Craig Jackson and President Steve Davis proved to be a fitting kickoff to what promises to be a record-breaking 7th Annual Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Auction.
