A seven-year-old boy bolted past his father to have a look at a high-powered engine on display in the Ford area. Over in the Salon Collection a 10-year-old girl marveled at the sleek lines of Boyd Coddington’s “French Connection.” A pair of young boys tugged at their dad’s shirt impatiently, desperate to find Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. A teenager focused his camera phone on an impressive Porsche 918, no doubt dreaming of the day he would drive. Thousands of families came to WestWorld of Scottsdale on a postcard-perfect day as Barrett-Jackson opened its doors on what promises to be a memorable 9-day anniversary celebration. Today was Cox Family Value Day, where children 12 and under were admitted free. In keeping with the company’s long tradition of giving, Barrett-Jackson also made a sizeable donation to Cox Charities.
