BIG FRIDAY AT BARRETT-JACKSON: Day 7 Rocks with Two Cars for a Cause and All No Reserve Sales

Big Friday at the 2025 Scottsdale Auction saw over 375 collector cars cross the world-famous auction block on Day 7, Jan. 24, all with No Reserve. The arena celebrated on several occasions throughout the day, including the heartfelt sale of a 1988 Chevrolet Corvette 35th Anniversary Edition (Lot #3003) from the David M. Ressler Collection.
In total, $530,000 was raised with the 1988 Corvette – 100% of which benefits the American Heart Association through the Driven Hearts initiative. Michelle Mauzy, a longtime friend of Barrett-Jackson, bought the Corvette for $230,000 and, in an especially generous gesture, donated it back to be sold for a second time, bringing in an additional $200,000. Following these incredible moments, Kandace Maxwell, daughter of the late Dave Ressler, donated another $100,000 to the important cause.
Earlier in the day Rob Walton, the chair of the African Parks Foundation, joined Aaron Shelby, co-president of the Carroll Shelby Foundation, on the auction block with Barrett-Jackson Chairman and CEO Craig Jackson and President Steve Davis for the charity sale of 2024 Shelby Ford F-150 Raptor R Barrett-Jackson Edition Pickup (Lot #3002). As is the case with all charity sales on the Barrett-Jackson block, all fees were waived, resulting in the entire $325,000 hammer price going directly to the African Parks Foundation of America and the Carroll Shelby Foundation.
Enthusiastic bidders and automotive enthusiasts filled the auction arena throughout the day as many sought-after collector cars crossed the block. More than a dozen sales passed the quarter-million mark and kept the energy high throughout the day while the audience cheered with each drop of the hammer. One of the most exciting moments came when a custom 1981 Land Rover Series 3 (Lot #1116) sold for $438,900, making it the day’s top sale.
Other top sales of the day included:

The fifth finalist for the 2025 Barrett-Jackson Cup was revealed on Friday: a 1959 Chevrolet Impala built by Steve Cook Creations. Owned by Dave and Robin Rush, the Impala is powered by a 416ci supercharged LS3 engine rated at 800 horsepower.
