Of the many memorable Barrett-Jackson moments that have occurred on the auction block over the past 49 years, the ones that unquestionably evoke the most emotion and excitement involve the vehicles sold for charitable causes. To date, more than $118 million has been raised at Barrett-Jackson auctions across the country for more than 170 organizations, large and small, local and national, thanks to the generosity of those who have donated the vehicles and the big-hearted bidders who vie for the honor of owning them. The best part of all? Every single cent of each winning bid goes directly to the charity chosen by the vehicle’s donator. Barrett-Jackson waives all fees associated with these special sales, so the winning bidder writes a check directly to the benefiting organization.
