CARS WITH COMPASSION: Crossing the auction block for charity

From its very beginnings, Barrett-Jackson has had a heart for helping deserving causes, both large and small. The company’s strong commitment to philanthropy has resulted in nearly $84 million raised over the years for some incredible charitable organizations throughout the United States. Often you’ll see celebrities, pro athletes and business leaders – including Hollywood actress Sharon Stone, NASCAR legends Jeff Gordon and Ray Evernham, and pro golfer Bubba Watson –using their star power on the Barrett-Jackson block to help raise millions for groups helping children, the military and medical research.
At this year’s 3rd Annual Hot August Nights Auction, five more great vehicles will cross the block for a cause. Every cent of the hammer price goes straight to the charitable organization, as The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions® waives all fees on charity vehicles.
“We have some of the most generous bidders and consignors in the world,” says Craig Jackson, Barrett-Jackson chairman and CEO. “There’s often not a dry eye in the house when these charity vehicles cross the block. I’m honored that we can make a difference in the lives of many through our auctions.”
