Complimentary Collector Car Symposiums Round Out Exciting Las Vegas Auction Schedule

The Barrett-Jackson team of automotive experts will be featured at the complimentary “Behind the Hobby” Collector Car Symposiums on October 14 and 15 during the 9th Annual Las Vegas Auction. As the gates open for the 9th Annual Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas Auction on Thursday, Oct. 13, guests will find there is much to do even beyond the action on the auction block itself.
One new addition to the Las Vegas Auction this year are Barrett-Jackson’s “Behind the Hobby” Collector Car Symposiums. Free of charge to event ticket holders, two symposiums will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Friday, October 14, and Saturday, October 15, inside the auction’s Exhibitor Marketplace, behind the Traxxas display. From learning how to prep your car for auction and restoration tips to collector car fraud, muscle car engines and more, these unique symposiums offer valuable insight from an impressive team of automotive experts.
The symposiums include helpful advice and guidance from some of the best names in the business, including Jim and JB Mattison (Pontiacs), Roy and Anthony Sinor (Corvettes), Jerry MacNeish (Chevrolet SS and Z/28 models), Kevin Marti (Fords), David Wise (Mopars) and Steve Magnante (Mopars, drag racers and hot rods). These automotive professionals serve on Barrett-Jackson’s team that works at each auction to help review certain high-end and rare cars that may be represented, by the consignor, as having matching numbers or documented with show provenance.
Whether new to the hobby or a seasoned collector, you’ll want to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to learn from and ask questions of those who know collector cars like nobody else.
In addition, event attendees will also be able to shop at the vast Exhibitor Marketplace and check out the many sponsor displays (many of which are interactive), get up-close looks at all the auction vehicles in the car display areas, watch vehicles being prepped for the block in the Staging Lanes, and experience the heart-stopping Hot Laps and Thrill Rides presented by Chevrolet and Dodge. As an added bonus, on Friday and Saturday, fans of Flat 12 Gallery’s Meg and Jeff, as seen on “Car Chasers” and the Skidmarks Show, will be able to meet and get autographs from the duo at their Pennzilla display in the Marketplace.
