Interior details on Lot #3005, a 2023 Corvette Z06 Convertible.
Every Barrett-Jackson auction is filled with exciting, unforgettable moments. But none are more memorable and elicit more emotions than when a car crosses the block for a good cause. The sale of charity cars is a long-standing tradition at Barrett-Jackson. As of January 2022, more than $144 million has been raised for hundreds of worthy organizations large and small.
One hundred percent of the hammer price from the sale of these vehicles goes directly to the charitable organizations, with all auction fees waived. For the 2022 Palm Beach Auction, there is a great roster of worthy charities to support, and the six donated vehicles represent coveted OEM releases, collector favorites and custom builds.
Chevrolet has a long history of donating VIN 001 and first-production cars for charity at Barrett-Jackson, and they’ll be bringing one of the industry’s most highly anticipated releases to the 2022 Palm Beach Auction — an early retail production VIN number of the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 convertible, Lot #3005. It’s powered by the all-new 5.5-liter LT6 engine, the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in production. An all-new flat-plane crankshaft design entices drivers to push the tachometer to a lofty 8,600 rpm, creating 670hp. The winning bidder will get to select the car’s exterior and interior colors. Chevrolet is donating this convertible to support the Thurgood Marshall College Fund. Named after the U.S. Supreme Court’s first African American justice, TMCF represents students attending historically black colleges and universities, medical schools and law schools.
LOT #3004 – 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor – 100% of hammer price to benefit National Forest Foundation and Outward Bound. Will be sold at approximately 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 9, 2022.
Ford also continues its tradition of raising funds for charity through the sale of VIN 001 and first-production vehicles at Barrett-Jackson. Joining the first-in-series club in Palm Beach will be VIN 001 of Ford’s Bronco Raptor, Lot #3004. Power comes from Ford’s twin-turbo 3.0-liter EcoBoost engine with specific Raptor-level tuning and paired with a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. Designed for desert running and boulder crawling, the Ultra4 Racing-inspired SUV features a high-strength steel frame, Ford Performance-developed axles, an advanced 4×4 system and High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension (HOSS) system. One hundred percent of the hammer price will benefit the National Forest Foundation, which helps preserve and promote America’s National Forest System, and Outward Bound, which provides outdoor education programs for youths and adults.
LOT #3003 – 2009 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake – 100% of hammer price to benefit Samaritan’s Purse for Ukraine. Will be sold at approximately 4:30 p.m. ET on Friday, April 8, 2022.
Offered from the world-class George Shinn Collection is a 2009 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake, Lot #3003. Shelby American equipped this GT500 with a Kenne Bell supercharger, increasing its power from 605hp to 725hp. Backed by a 6-speed manual transmission, power is transferred to the pavement via an aluminum driveshaft to the 3.73:1 geared rear end. The adjustable suspension utilizes Eibach and Shelby American components. Stopping power comes from 6-piston Baer brakes complemented by front and rear brake cooling ducts, topped by 20-inch Alcoa wheels. Finished in Vapor Silver Metallic paint, the car features a fiberglass Ram Air hood and a carbon fiber front splitter and side skirts. Carroll Shelby signed the black interior of this Super Snake, which is No. 309 of 500 built in 2009. Other highlights include unique badging featuring its serial number CSM No. 095S0309, displayed on plaques adorning the dash and engine compartment and on the door sill plates. One hundred percent of the hammer price will go to Samaritan’s Purse for disaster relief and emergency medical care in Ukraine.

The 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited custom 6×6 pickup, Lot #3002, nicknamed “The Savage Bull,” was commissioned by Atlanta Braves Hall of Fame baseball player Andruw Jones. The no-expenses-spared professional build transformed a 2012 Jeep Wrangler into a one-of-a-kind extended wheelbase 6×6 pickup. Power comes from a HEMI 6.4-liter 392ci V8 crate engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Beautifully finished in Mercedes-Benz Silver over a black interior, it rides on custom 22-inch wheels.
Jones, who signed the inner tailgate, used the truck to go to the stadium for games, while at spring training and for special events before selling it in 2018. The entire hammer price of the sale of “The Savage Bull” will support Can’d Aid, an organization that evolved from disaster response into one that helps build thriving communities through water distribution; music, arts and outdoor programs for underserved youth; and environmental protection.
