Tim Whited, a businessman with a longtime passion for collector cars, has been a familiar, always-smiling face at Barrett-Jackson events for two decades, usually with Pat – his wife of 35-plus years – at his side. The philanthropic couple have generously bid successfully on several Barrett-Jackson charity cars in the past, and Tim – a big-time supporter of STEM education – was a driving force behind the very first STEM Center (now known as STEM Fest) at Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale Auction back in 2018.

Now Whited is bringing a quartet of vehicles from his collection to the upcoming 2024 Scottsdale Auction. This captivating ensemble caters to all tastes, featuring a timeless 1935 custom Ford 5-Window coupe, a beautiful 1964 Buick Riviera, and the raw power of contemporary muscle with a 2008 Limited-Edition Z06 Corvette and a 2013 Cadillac CTS-V wagon. Each will cross the block with No Reserve January 20-28 at WestWorld.

The 1935 Ford 5-Window custom coupe, Lot #825, was fully restored and completed in 2018. Since then, the car has only been driven 1,306 miles, riding on new Smith wire wheels with disc brakes and Super Slider springs. Power is derived from a bored and stroked 1953 Mercury Flathead engine paired with a TREMEC T5 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive turning a 9-inch 4.11 posi-traction rear end. The Candy Apple Red Ford with its Cinnamon leather interior is equipped with power steering, Classic Instruments gauges and a banjo steering wheel.

The Sunburst Yellow exterior, original wire wheels and white leather interior with walnut trim are among its distinctive features. The cabin offers front and rear bucket seats, a center console, a tissue holder and air conditioning.

Lot #718.1 is a 2008 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, the last of 427 made for North America. Car #427, the only 2008 Z06 finished in a Crystal Red Metallic Tint coat, houses a powerful 7.0-liter 427ci LS7 V8 engine with 505 horsepower and 551 ft/lbs of torque. The Dark Titanium leather interior includes a special Crystal Red trim plate. All 427 cars bear longtime Corvette plant manager Will Cooksey’s signature and number, with additional details like hood badges, engine cover emblems, and unique seat and floor mat embroidery. The car rides on spider-design chrome Z06 wheels.
