This stunning 2007 re-creation roadster (Lot #107) is among the No Reserve vehicles to be offered during the Barrett-Jackson Online Only July 2020 Auction.
As Barrett-Jackson speeds towards our 50th anniversary in January 2021, we thought we’d share a bit of history, and what “No Reserve” signifies in our world. Essentially, No Reserve means that when the gavel falls at a live event or the time runs out in an online auction, the highest bidder takes home that cool collectible. At our flagship Scottsdale Auction in 2005, every single car offered was labeled as No Reserve – a first for the collector car auction industry and a trait for which Barrett-Jackson has become known. It’s why Barrett-Jackson attracts more bidders per car than anyone else in the industry, and it’s what makes watching or attending The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions so electrifying, with exciting and competitive down-to-the-wire bidding action. So, as Barrett-Jackson embarks on the “Road to 50,” we thought it only fitting to highlight some of the No Reserve cars heading to the virtual auction block in our Online Only July 2020 Auction.
BLUE OVAL PERFORMANCE
1995 FORD MUSTANG COBRA SVT (Lot #137)
The Ford Mustang Cobra has always been quintessential muscle, and this 1995 example is fresh from the time capsule. One of just 760 SVT Cobras produced, this beauty, done in black on black, still sports much of the original factory covers and wrappings. Showing just 108 actual miles on the odometer, this gem is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine, paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. Now is the chance to own one clean SN95 Mustang Cobra!
2016 FORD SHELBY GT-H PROTOTYPE (Lot #165)
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first Ford, Hertz and Shelby American Mustang, the trio collaborated once again to launch the fearsome 2016 Ford Shelby GT-H. Based on the new-generation Ford Mustang, this example is the very first of only 170 GT-H coupes to be built for the 2016 model year. The stunning black and gold paint scheme is instantly recognizable as a singular piece of history. With a mere 356 actual miles, this Shelby GT-H comes in a particularly well-proportioned muscular package, with a performance-ready 5.0-liter V8 engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. To complement the drivetrain, Shelby tapped Ford Performance to upgrade the dampers and add lowering springs, sway bars and a staggered wheel kit. This car has a ferocious special exhaust, badges and interior trim only available on the Shelby GT-H, and rides on 19-inch aluminum wheels clad in Michelin tires.
2009 FORD SHELBY GT500KR (Lot #173)
As fast Fords go, this one is quite literally the King of the Road. Powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 engine, the King Shelby deploys 540 horses through a 6-speed manual transmission. Offered with No Reserve, this GT500KR sports just 35 actual miles on the odometer, and is more than ready to live up to its name.
**ON- AND OFF-ROAD SWAGGER
1972 FORD BRONCO (Lot #145)
After receiving a full frame-off restoration, this gorgeous first-generation Bronco rocks an all-new fuel tank and lines, chrome bumpers and exhaust, along with a complete brake rebuild and new weather seals. Powered by a 302ci V8 engine coupled with a 3-speed manual transmission, the Bronco wears its original upholstered seats and Ford powder-coated wheels.
1968 CHEVROLET C10 CUSTOM PICKUP (Lot #160)
A true C10 Resto-Mod, this ’68 is powered by a 6.0-liter GM V8 engine mated to an automatic transmission. Power is deployed by a 12-bolt rear end with 3.73 posi-traction, and onto a set of Mayhem wheels clad in BFGoodrich tires. The C10 is finished in the aptly named Destroyer Gray paint and sports a red and black houndstooth bench seat. Additionally, the interior has been modernized with an Intellitronix digital dash and Bluetooth. The C10 sits long and low thanks to custom suspension, and a rumbling exhaust note courtesy of Flowmaster.
ONE-OF-A-KIND WONDER
2007 SPECIAL CONSTRUCTION ROADSTER (Lot #107)
This Cobra-esque beauty replicates the wonderful combination of a British chassis with an all-American heart. This stunning re-creation roadster is powered by a 351ci Cleveland V8 engine mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Finished in black with classic white racing stripes, it sports Halibrand-style knock-off replica wheels.
TWO-WHEELED EXCITEMENT
1976 HONDA Z50 MINIBIKE (LOT #100) & 1978 HONDA Z50 MINIBIKE (LOT #200)
The world of vintage minibikes has seen a recent uptick in popularity, and Barrett-Jackson is pleased to offer two Honda Z50s for sale at, of course, No Reserve. Both minibikes underwent full restorations and are powered by 49cc single-cylinder engines paired with 3-speed automatic gearboxes. The 1976 Z50 is finished in a beautiful yellow, while the ’78 is Candy Ruby Red. The perfect set of wheels for the collector – or those looking to zip through the pit lane or parking lot.
1974 NORTON 850 COMMANDO CUSTOM MOTORCYCLE (LOT #119)
For those keen on tackling the switchbacks of a mountain road, we present this stunning 1974 Norton Commando. Powered by a muscular 828cc parallel-twin engine paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox, the Commando uses an overhead-valve hemispherical-type cylinder head. The Commando was awarded “Machine of the Year Award” by Motor Cycle News for five consecutive years – no mean feat, considering it was up against a multitude of entries in the heavyweight class at the time. This Commando received a full restoration and a suite of one-off custom touches. The frame and wheels were powder-coated black, while the motorcycle itself is finished in Crystal White Pearl Tri Coat with black lettering. A set of Mikuni carburetors and a ceramic exhaust help bring this HEMI-headed custom Norton to life.
