HELLCAT ON A HOT AUGUST NIGHT: Stunt driver Rhys Millen drifts into Reno with the Barrett-Jackson Cup

The streets of Reno will never be the same.

In the wee hours of the morning on Wednesday, August 5, stunt and race driver Rhys Millen sped into town in spectacular fashion with the celebrated Barrett-Jackson Cup in tow. Millen raced the renowned yellow 707hp 2015 Dodge Hellcat sponsored by Pennzoil through downtown Reno on a closed-road course made possible with the help of Hot August Nights, the City of Reno and the Reno Police Department. Millen drifted past several iconic Reno landmarks – including the famous Reno Arch and Barrett-Jackson Cup sponsors Eldorado Resort Casino, Silver Legacy Resort Casino, Harrah’s Hotel & Casino and Circus Circus Hotel & Casino – before spinning to a stop at the intersection of 4th and Virginia streets, where he delivered the Barrett-Jackson Cup to its display pedestal.

Millen will be on hand Thursday, Aug. 6, at the 3rd Annual Hot August Nights Auction presented by Barrett-Jackson, where he will be signing autographs for fans. The yellow Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat will be on display at the Pennzoil exhibit throughout the auction, Aug. 6-8 at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.
