It only makes sense that the 2022 Houston Auction in Texas, the oil and gas production capital of the U.S., saw gas pumps among the Top 10 highest-selling automobilia items. Along with these gleaming gas pumps, blazing neon signs and other unique pieces heated up the auction arena each morning before the collector cars took center stage. **LOT #8263 – FORD MUSTANG 5-CENT KIDDIE RIDE – SOLD! $51,750 **Pictured above is a Ford Mustang 5-cent coin-operated kiddie ride. One-off built for a dealership showroom. Restored to perfection and plays “Mustang Sally” when operating.

Restored to unsurpassable condition, it sold for $41,400. On the right is a truly exceptional 1930’s Gilmore Oil Tokheim Model #850 restored clock-face gas pump. Extremely rare and desirable, it sold for $24,150.

Artboard 7 **LOT #7280 – 1947 TEXACO OIL MARTIN & SCHWARTZ MODEL #70 GAS PUMP AND LOT #7277 – 1920S TEXACO OIL AMERICAN MODEL #2487 GAS PUMP **Pictured above left is a profoundly stylish 1947 Texaco Oil Martin & Schwartz model #70 restored service station gas pump with rare station lighter unit attached. Beautifully restored with an eye-appealing two-tone paint finish, it sold for $30,475. Above right is a superlative and hard-to-find 1920s Texaco Oil American model #2487 filling station gas pump. Restored to concours quality with no expense spared. This unusual octagon-shaped pump sold for $19,550.

Features GM Maple Leaf logo and “GM” flashes on/off. Day one color and gloss.
