LOT #1375 – 1953 KINDIG CF1 BARRETT-JACKSON EDITION CUSTOM ROADSTER – NO RESERVE

Dave Kindig’s CF1 No. 8 has been in the works for some time and features a unique Barrett-Jackson twist. Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson, stopped by Kindig-It Design in Millcreek, Utah, during the 2022 September Road Tour to see the Barrett-Jackson Edition CF1 in progress before it crosses the block in Scottsdale, January 21-29, 2023, at WestWorld.

IMG_2724The CF1 is Kindig’s production vehicle, and it’s inspired by the first-generation Chevrolet Corvette. What sets No. 8 apart from the other CF1s are the unique Barrett-Jackson styling elements exclusive to this car. For example, it will be finished in Black Ice, a color from Dave Kindig’s paint line, which will be complemented by a Raspberry Red one-off interior. The Barrett-Jackson Edition CF1 will also have the Barrett-Jackson logo machined onto the brake calipers and valve covers.

When Craig Jackson last saw this special CF1, it was headed to the body shop, where it went through a three-week-long process to ensure all the gaps are perfect. Once done, it was painted and then went onto the rotisserie while the chassis was powder-coated in Southern California. All the brightwork was polished and added to the car at that stage.

The sale of this CF1 will include a Reverend guitar with a custom theme to match CF1 No. 8. It also comes with a shadow box containing Kindig’s original artwork and sketches for the car, including drawings and the computer-aided design (CAD) illustration for the one-off wheels, as well as the original paint and leather samples.

Register to bid today to add this CF1 No. 8 to your collection when it crosses the block with No Reserve at the 2023 Scottsdale Auction. This car was previously featured this summer, read about it here.
