PALM BEACH 2023 – 2020 FORD GT HERITAGE EDITION – SOLD! $1,457,500
The Ford GT stands as a testament to the American automotive industry’s pursuit of speed, power and innovation. Inspired by the legendary Ford GT40 that dominated Le Mans in the 1960s, the second-generation Ford GT, produced from 2005 through 2006, and the third generation modern-day Ford GT, which spans from 2017 to present, are mesmerizing supercars that combine cutting-edge technology with a rich racing heritage. As a limited-production supercar, each generation represents a rare and exclusive ownership experience that embodies the essence of speed, power and innovation.
A new era for the Ford GT started on the block in 2018. Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale Auction was the first to offer a modern Ford GT to support a charitable cause. In the subsequent year, the auction house went on to sell a 2019 Ford GT Heritage Edition VIN 001 – also to benefit charity – and later that year became the first auction company to announce the sale of a non-charity modern Ford GT with No Reserve, which sold at the Las Vegas Auction in October 2019.
