When it’s not time for one of our auctions, the Barrett-Jackson team is busy traveling across the country to interact with the collector car community. In the coming months, look for Barrett-Jackson at these great events for car enthusiasts:
Gatineau Auto Show – August 12-14, 2016
Held in Gatineau, Quebec, the Gatineau Auto Show traces its history back to 1991, when 50 cars were exhibited in conjunction with the International Catamaran Regatta at the Aylmer marina. In 2015, some 25,000 enthusiasts converged on the marina to admire about 200 vehicles. Barrett-Jackson is a proud sponsor and exhibitor at this event, which includes the unique MASC Idol competition, where 40 cars vie for the grand prize of a trip for two to the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction, along with $1,000 in spending money.
Monterey Car Week – August 15-21, 2016
Barrett-Jackson is more than just the World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions® – it’s a team of automotive enthusiasts who actively participate in many of the events during Monterey Car Week. Craig Jackson has often been spotted in the past racing one of his vintage cars around the Laguna Seca track. This year, look for team members checking out the fine examples of German engineering at Legends of the Autobahn and at many of the other events, including Exotics on Cannery Row (EOCR), where supercars, hypercars and exotic cars reign supreme. Barrett-Jackson will have a booth at EOCR – stop by and say hello!
The Woodward Dream Cruise – August 20, 2016
Craig Jackson’s rare 1969 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 will be traveling with the Barrett-Jackson team to the Woodward Dream Cruise.
If you were a youth back in the ’50s and ’60s in Detroit, the thing to do was to “cruise Woodward” and show off your Motor City steel. In 1995, a group of enthusiasts looking to re-create those good ol’ days started the Woodward Dream Cruise as a small fundraiser for a local soccer field. Today, the event is the world’s largest one-day celebration of classic car culture that attracts over 1 million visitors and more than 40,000 muscle cars, street rods, customs, collector cars and special-interest vehicles. You’d better believe Barrett-Jackson will be there! Look for our team members at the Ford and Chevrolet booths – and make sure to check out Craig Jackson’s incredibly rare 1969 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 (on display at the Chevy booth), which has been called “the highest-optioned and best-restored ZL1 on the planet.”
Fuelicious and Artomobilia – August 26 – 27, 2016
Look for Barrett-Jackson at these two unique events in Carmel, Indiana. Fuelicious features 50 distinct collector cars and a premium culinary experience at the storied 33-acre Lucas Estate – all to benefit the Indiana Children’s Wish Fund. The following day is Artomobilia ‒ a celebration of automotive art and design that features a distinct gathering of recognized artists, more than 400 collector cars and automotive enthusiasts ‒ all showcased on the streets of Carmel’s Arts & Design District.
Vail Automotive Classic – September 9 – 11, 2016
What started in 2009 with a couple of Realtors and the local Cars & Coffee Club has grown into a series of car-centric events that includes the Wheels & Wings Festival with over 200 cars in 21 different classes, more than 40 aircraft, over 100 motorcycles and two spectacular aerobatics shows; an auto auction benefitting local charities; and a car show in the magnificent setting of Vail Village. Make sure to stop by the Barrett-Jackson booth, where we’ll have three of the extraordinary cars from the 80-car Tammy Allen Collection, set to cross the block at our Las Vegas Auction in October.
Cobble Beach Concours d’Elegance – September 17 – 18, 2016
We’re proud to be a sponsor at this beautiful event set on the shores of Georgian Bay, about two hours north of Toronto, Canada. The weekend begins with a Participants’ Tour on Saturday, followed by the concours on Sunday, where over 100 automobiles, vintage boats and motorcycles will be judged along the 18th fairway of Cobble Beach.
Telluride Festival of Cars & Colors – September 29 – October 2, 2016
Barrett-Jackson will be bringing three amazing cars from the Tammy Allen Collection to this world-class automotive celebration – they’ll fit right in with the rest of the beautiful cars set against the spectacular fall foliage of Colorado’s San Juan Mountains. Focused on high-end restorations, vintage and exotic vehicles, the festival encompasses a variety of exciting events, including the Mountain Village Concours d’Elegance, the Million Dollar Highway Road Rally, Musicians & Their Machines and Cool Cars on Colorado.
