The most-viewed vehicle on Barrett-Jackson.com – and also our highest-selling vehicle of all time – is this 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 Super Snake once owned by Carroll Shelby.
Barrett-Jackson.com gets millions of visitors each year, looking for information on our auctions, purchasing tickets, researching values through our “Results” section, shopping for merchandise and, of course, checking out all the extraordinary collector cars that have crossed our block.
By far the most-viewed vehicle on Barrett-Jackson.com is one very special 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 Super Snake that belonged to Carroll Shelby himself, known as the “Cobra to End All Cobras.” It has the distinction of being the highest-selling car ever on the Barrett-Jackson auction block, first selling at the 2007 Scottsdale Auction as Lot #1301 for $5.5 million, and then sold again as part of the Ron Pratte Collection at the 2015 Scottsdale Auction for $5.115 million, as Lot #2509. Over the past year alone, the car has had nearly 84,000 page views on our website.
When Justin Bieber came to the Barrett-Jackson auction block at the 2017 Scottsdale Auction, his Ferrari got a lot of attention online!
Celebrity cars – that either belong to a celebrity or are “star cars” in their own right – are also fan favorites. People have been busy checking out Justin Bieber’s 2011 Ferrari 458 Italia (nearly 60,000 page views) and Steven Tyler’s 2012 Hennessey Venom GT Spyder (over 34,000 page views). The lowly AMC Pacer normally wouldn’t garner a second look – unless it’s the 1976 Pacer used in the movie “Wayne’s World,” which got more than 37,000 page views.
In the “not something you see every day” category, a 2015 MTI Racing Boat and a 2015 Pioneer Cedar One Custom Roadster (a log car!), received 42,120 and 40,232 page views respectively, a 1993 Mazda RX7 Twin Turbo Limousine racked up more than 48,000 views, and a 1968 Corvette Hot Wheels Custom Coupe had nearly 53,000 looks.
Boss 9s are always a hit with collector car fans. This 1969 example sold for $330,000 at the 2018 Scottsdale Auction.
When it comes to more traditional collectible cars, the 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 wins the day, hauling in nearly 70,000 page views over the past couple of years. A 1970 Plymouth Superbird was also a favorite of website visitors, bringing in more than 34,000 page views. Customs get their fair share of looks, too, with the most popular being a 2005 Ford GT Custom Coupe (69,484 views), a 1962 Chevrolet Corvette Custom Convertible (36,867 views), a 1969 Camaro Custom Coupe (36,769 views) and a 1967 Ford Mustang Custom Fastback (36,604 views).
No matter what you’re looking for, you’re sure to find your favorite on Barrett-Jackson.com!
