Two gas pumps were among the top sellers during the opening day of the 2019 Automobilia Auction.
The unmistakable cadence of the auctioneers began to ring out over the Barrett-Jackson auction site today as the 2019 Automobilia Auction got underway. Nearly 400 pieces of our automotive past had their turn in the spotlight throughout the day – from rare signs and garage clocks to pedal cars and gas pumps. Memorabilia from the early days of the tire industry featured prominently, with vintage items from Goodrich, Firestone, Goodyear and Michelin in particular. Top sellers of the day included a rare 1920s die-cut tin sign from Hood Tires, two 1940s gas pumps – one from Mobil Oil and the other from Standard Oil – and the hood off a 2006 Ford GT, autographed by Carroll Shelby and Bob Bondurant.
