Barrett-Jackson Auctions are famous for the historic cars that cross the block, the records that are set, the celebrity sightings, and the festive lifestyle options that are part of every event. But from the beginning, Barrett-Jackson has also been known for raising funds for charitable causes.

Some of the most exciting moments of a Barrett-Jackson Auction occur when the cars that are to be auctioned for charity roll up to the block. There’s a sense of anticipation in the air. The pitched bidding as significant funds are raised for worthy causes can be an emotional experience. Over the course of 50 years more than $147.9 million has been raised for charitable organizations of every size. Barrett-Jackson waives all fees associated with these charitable sales, so 100 percent of the hammer price goes to the charities designated by the donors of the vehicles.

Among the cars to be auctioned for charity at the Las Vegas Auction June 30 – July 2 are two vehicles that represent the pinnacle of performance for their respective brands. Since Cadillac launched the CTS-V in 2004, the V-series has represented the high-performance wing of GM’s luxury division. For 2023 the Escalade SUV is finally getting a V-variant, and Cadillac is donating the 2023 Escalade-V First Retail Production – VIN 001 (Lot #3000) to be auctioned at Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas to benefit the Center for Creative Studies, Detroit chapter of Pensole Lewis College of Business and Design, a HBCU, (historically Black college or university).

The Escalade-V definitely earns its V badge. It is powered by a hand-built 6.2-liter supercharged V8 rated at 682 horsepower and 653 ft/lbs of torque, and backed by a 10-speed automatic. With front Brembo brakes, electronic limited slip differential, and Magnetic Ride Control, all other systems are optimized for civilized performance. Unique features include a curved OLED dash display with 38 inches of total diagonal display. The Cadillac Escalade-V is a total package of luxury, power, and technology, and one lucky bidder will be able to secure the very first one built.

LOT 3001 - 2022 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED RUBICON 392 – NO RESERVE

The second performance-minded charity vehicle is a 2022 Jeep Wrangler HEMI Unlimited Rubicon 392 (Lot #3001). The Rubicon has long been Jeep’s top model for serious off-roaders, and the magic 392 number represents the displacement in cubic inches of the 6.4-liter SRT HEMI V8 underhood. The engine generates 470 horsepower and 470 ft/lbs of torque, and is teamed with an 8-speed 8HP75 automatic transmission. Jeep says the Rubicon 392 is capable of a 13.0-second quarter mile.

The Rubicon 392 is easily recognizable thanks to the hood scoop with “392” emblems on the side. The scoop incorporates a Hydro-Guide Induction system that delivers cooler air induction while efficiently draining water when traveling in wet conditions.

This Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 392 is well equipped for any adventure. It features an American Expedition Vehicles JL370 conversion, AEV boron stamped steel bumpers, and a 2.5-inch dual sport lift. It is equipped with a Sky One-Touch power top, integrated off-road camera, Warn winch, trailer tow package, Trail Rail management system, and 37-inch BFGoodrich mud tires.

The sale of this Jeep will benefit Ronald McDonald Charities of Detroit, an independent American nonprofit organization whose stated mission is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children.

Whether you prefer to go fast on-road or off, either of these vehicles will take you there while benefiting two worthy organizations.
