The outbreak of COVID-19 has brought with it a series of unprecedented challenges. Businesses of all sorts – small and large – are doing their part by helping their communities and tackling the pandemic head on, providing much-needed assistance and resources to those on the frontline keeping us safe.
Dodge brand’s 30-second “Strength” video recognizes essential workers on the frontline of the crisis.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is one such company. With both feet in epicenters of the pandemic, the Italian-American automaker has taken strides to scale up its response and provide much-needed aid to stricken communities around the world.
FCA has leveraged their expertise in supply chain, manufacturing and engineering. The automaker has retooled some of their manufacturing facilities and committed to producing one million face masks per month for emergency services in the United States, Mexico and Canada. The masks are to be donated to firefighters, EMTs and police, as well as healthcare professionals. Abroad, FCA, Ferrari and parts manufacturer Marelli have joined forces with Siare Engineering to make use of their production facilities and manufacture ventilators for the hard-hit areas in Italy.
FCA brands’ social media campaigns encourage drivers to #StayOffTheRoad and #StayAtHome.
Additionally, Fiat Chrysler declared a commitment to supporting several foundations and charities that provide food to children. “There has never been a more important moment to help children and their families with vital needs in our communities than during this time of great uncertainty,” said FCA CEO Mike Manley. Over one million meals have been provided for children thus far.
FCA’s Dodge has crafted a social campaign dubbed #TheMuscleBehindUs. “Dodge wants to honor those on the frontlines of this crisis who are working fearlessly every day to protect our communities and the people who live in them,” said Tim Kuniskis, Global Head of Alfa Romeo and Head of Passenger Cars – Dodge, SRT, Chrysler and FIAT, FCA – North America. Dodge encourages those in “the Brotherhood of Muscle” to share and submit photos of those working to keep communities safe and has dedicated a page to them at DodgeGarage.com.
Barrett-Jackson thanks our valued partner FCA/Dodge for their hard work in this difficult time and extends our deepest gratitude to all those – from doctors and postal workers to grocery clerks and truck drivers – for keeping our essential services going and communities healthy.
