The sun was shining as the gates opened for Day Two of the 2022 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction at WestWorld. Sunday was Preview Day, and bidders and car enthusiasts filled the vast auction site, eager to view the world-class collector vehicles and eye-catching automobilia that will begin crossing the famous Auction Block on Monday, January 24.

Guests took advantage of the warm weather to explore the acres of outdoor tents and indoor pavilions filled with everything from hot rods to muscle cars and supercars to future classics. Everyone had their favorite — from award-winning Resto-Mods to exotic sports cars, candy-colored Volkswagen microbuses and the 1976 AMC Pacer that played a pivotal role in the early ’90s iconic comedy “Wayne’s World.”

In addition to the many exciting vehicles, the Barrett-Jackson experience offers countless activities for all members of the family. Pennzoil STEMFest powered by Arizona SciTech Institute continued for a second day, introducing young minds to the myriad fields of science and technology — and perhaps developing the next great car engineer or designer. The Product Showcase Stage opened with the first of many compelling presentations throughout the week by automotive experts. Shopping was also on the schedule, as hundreds of exhibitors and sponsors showcased everything from clothes and car products to home furnishings and custom artwork. Those seeking a burst of adrenaline took a spin around the Barrett-Jackson Performance Track with the Dodge and Toyota Thrill Rides, enjoyed an all-terrain adventure with the RAM Off-Road Experience or checked out the BMX Team exhibitions, sponsored by Monster.

Barrett-Jackson is also a sought-after destination for hundreds of media professional from around the world, and this weekend, two lucky youngsters had the chance to sit down with Barrett-Jackson Chairman and CEO Craig Jackson for brief interviews. Junior reporters Mason Moser and Thomas Evans, both from Greater Phoenix, were able to get Craig’s unique perspective on the auction.

As the sun set, the festivities kicked into high gear with the Opening Night Gala, an annual event that signifies the beginning of Barrett-Jackson’s auction week. Stay tuned to Barrett-Jackson.com and all of our social media channels for more coverage of this surprise-filled event.
