No rundown of the all-time greatest muscle cars would be complete without the Shelby Mustang. It was seminal, impactful and brought a new level of ferocity to Ford’s humble pony car. It began with the 1965 Shelby GT350, a car bred for competition, that saw battle against the most premiere sports cars at racetracks all over the world. It dominated, winning the B-production Championship three times in a row. The GT350 created an ongoing legacy of performance – one that keeps America’s appetite for speed in check and continues to push Ford’s pony car to new heights.

On offer with No Reserve at the 2021 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction, March 20-27, are a number of stunning examples of the Shelby Mustang – headlined by the one of the finest ’65 GT350s in the world (Lot #1395), coming from the personal collection of Barrett-Jackson Chairman and CEO Craig Jackson. The offering also includes an incredibly rare 1968 Shelby GT500KR convertible (Lot #1368) – one of 50 special-order Shelby Mustangs painted in Special Yellow and owned by racing legend Rick Hendrick – as well as several examples of the current performance benchmark and winner of the highly coveted Road & Track Performance Car of the Year Award, the 2020 Shelby GT500. These Shelbys represent some of the very best of the breed, each with a rich history and each at No Reserve.
