THE COUNTDOWN HAS BEGUN: Excitement is building for Barrett-Jackson’s 45th Anniversary Auction

The collector cars are rolling in, the vast Vendor Marketplace is already at capacity, hotel reservations are being made and a special Anniversary Edition of the Barrett-Jackson Experience magazine has just been published. That all adds up to one thing: an extraordinary event is just around the corner.

Since its inception in 1971, The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions® has continued to grow and evolve – most recently adding the new Northeast Auction in June to its destinations around the United States. But the Scottsdale Auction is the original; the granddaddy of them all.

The nine-day automotive lifestyle event runs from January 23-31, 2016, at WestWorld of Scottsdale, where thousands of fans will experience the incredible atmosphere that only can be found at Barrett-Jackson. Rain or shine (nearly a million square feet is under cover), there is a little something for everyone, car enthusiast or not. There will be interactive exhibits from more than 80 sponsors, a shopping paradise from more than 200 vendors, driving thrills from the Big Three automakers, live music, ample wining and dining opportunities, a new series of “Behind the Hobby” Collector Car Symposiums – and, of course, more than 1,400 fabulous vehicles, most of which are offered at No Reserve.

Already on the docket are some extraordinary blue chip and Salon Collection cars (including a 1950 Ferrari 195 S Inter Superleggera and a 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach), a gathering of seven rare Pontiac GTOs, more than three dozen remarkable Mustangs from a Florida Barn Collection, and consecutive-year trios of “Serial One” Corvettes and DeSoto Adventurer convertibles. That’s just the tip of the iceberg.
