The Future Collector Car Show (FCCS) returns on January 22, 2023, with a new location: The Polo Field at WestWorld of Scottsdale, held during the 2023 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction. This family-friendly, concours-style event features vehicles of any year, make and model that best represent the future of the collector car hobby, with the goal of celebrating the cars we love today and the collectibles of tomorrow.
Although it would be ideal to know now which cars will be true collectibles in the future, there is no way to know for sure. With that being said, at FCCS a future collector car is defined as an enthusiast car, typically with a dedicated following or fan base. They might be the cars enthusiasts started out with or worked on growing up. Or perhaps they are vehicles enthusiasts wanted when they were younger and now have the resources to purchase and restore.
2007 Ford Mustang GT and 2008 Ford Shelby GT500 to be displayed on the FCCS show field.
During the show, spectators will enjoy a variety of vehicles ranging from the 1980s to today, from highly modified custom builds to original and perfectly preserved rides, effectively creating an experience where generations of vehicle owners can find common ground in their love of future collectibles.
Continuing its tradition of blending automotive culture with the world of fashion, FCCS at Barrett-Jackson will also feature an immersive and competitive fashion show produced by Luxe and City, with the winning stylist receiving a cash prize. The event includes additional elements as well, such as exhibitor displays and VIP offerings.
Prior to the show at WestWorld on January 22, 2023, concours-level judges will hand-pick the top cars for each category from the applications submitted. All enthusiasts’ cars can participate — the FCCS team will be looking for quality vehicles, highly modified enthusiast builds, rare or low-production number cars and unique or uncommon vehicles. Every vehicle entered in the show qualifies for the coveted Best of Show trophy, with other award categories that include a People’s Choice award selected by spectators on-site and various Best in Class awards.
Best of Show winners in past years include a 1993 Mazda RX-7, a 2004 modified Subaru WRX STi and a 1998 Toyota Supra.
Participation to display a vehicle at FCCS is by application only. The deadline to apply is December 12, 2022. Visit FCCS.Barrett-Jackson.com for more information.
