LOT #740 – 2020 FORD GT HERITAGE EDITION – NO RESERVE

267748_Side_ProfileThe 2020 Ford GT Heritage Edition is a supercar that pays homage to the legendary GT40 race cars that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans four times in a row between 1966 and 1969. Of those, Chassis No. 1075, the 1968 GT, was one of just a few individual cars to achieve repeat victories in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1969. The limited-edition Ford GT offered with No Reserve during the 2023 Palm Beach Auction, April 13-15 at the South Florida Fairgrounds, comes with a unique livery inspired by that legendary 1969 GT, as well as a range of exclusive features that push the boundaries of performance and design.

One of the most striking features of the Ford GT Heritage Edition is its Gulf Oil livery. The car is painted in the classic blue and orange colors of the Gulf Oil racing team, which was a major sponsor of the GT40 cars in the 1960s. This iconic color scheme is instantly recognizable and adds a touch of nostalgia to the modern supercar. This Ford GT boasts No. 6 graphics, exclusive to the 2020 model-year Heritage Editions that honor Chassis No. 1075, which wore that number when it won the 1969 Le Mans. The chassis wore No. 9 the year prior when it won the Le Mans, the same number the 2019 model year Heritage Edition wears.

267748_InteriorIn addition to its eye-catching livery, the 2020 Ford GT Heritage Edition also boasts a range of exclusive features that set it apart from the standard GT model. For example, it comes with exposed carbon-fiber accents on the exterior, including the A-pillars, lower body panels and 20-inch one-piece forged aluminum wheels. These elements not only look great but also contribute to the car’s lightweight construction, which enhances its performance.

Inside the cabin, the Ford GT Heritage Edition features unique touches like bespoke blue and orange stitching on the seats and steering wheel. The seats are upholstered in Alcantara and the steering wheel is wrapped in leather for a comfortable grip. The instrument panel also gets a unique finish with clear and polished anodized paddle shifters and a special serialized identification plate.

Under the hood, the 2020 Ford GT Heritage Edition is powered by a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that produces 660 horsepower and 550 ft/lbs of torque. This powerful engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that delivers lightning-fast shifts and smooth acceleration. The GT has a range of advanced technologies that include active aerodynamics, a hydraulic suspension system, and advanced traction and stability control.

267748_EngineThe performance of the Ford GT Heritage Edition is incredibly impressive. The Ford GT can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 216 mph. It also boasts impressive handling thanks to its lightweight construction, aerodynamic design and advanced suspension system. All of these components work together to make the car feel agile and responsive on the road, allowing the driver enjoy a thrilling driving experience that few other cars can match.

This special supercar pays tribute to the iconic GT40 racing cars of the past while pushing the boundaries of today’s performance and design. With its stunning livery, exclusive features and impressive performance, this limited-edition model is sure to stop traffic and capture the hearts of collectors and enthusiasts alike. Register to bid to take home a spectacular vehicle wearing the some of the most famous colors in motorsports.
