TWO-WHEEL FUN: The Resurgence of Minibikes in America’s Automotive Culture

Although the peak era of minibikes in America spanned from the late 1960s to the early 1970s, signs of a resurgence are evident, particularly at recent Barrett-Jackson auctions, where these small two-wheelers have taken center stage. Whether fueled by collectors’ nostalgia for their youth or a desire to introduce the same childhood joy to their children and grandchildren, the minibike is undeniably making a comeback!
Given Honda’s prominent role as a leading producer of minibikes in the past, it comes as no shock that the Japanese brand dominates this collection of the highest-selling minibikes at Barrett-Jackson over the past five years.
