World’s Greatest Collector Car Auction Now Accepting Consignments for 2012 Scottsdale
SCOTTSDALE, AZ. – September 29, 2011 – Barrett-Jackson Auction Company, The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions™, announced today that 27 vehicles from the Jimmy Richardson Collection will cross the auction block at No Reserve during the 41st Annual Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction, January 16-22, 2012.
The Jimmy Richardson Collection contains an eclectic mix of vehicles from the past nine decades. It represents a variety of categories of vehicles with one commonality: speed. Richardson has accumulated these vehicles from several Barrett-Jackson auctions throughout the last decade, with an eye for exotic cars with powerful engines.
“Jimmy Richardson, one of the leading classic automotive collectors in the world, is providing an opportunity to own a unique offering of vehicles from his personal collection,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO, Barrett-Jackson. “Jimmy will consign all of these vehicles at No Reserve which will be a major component that adds excitement to one of the largest, world-renowned events of the year.”
Jimmy Richardson Collection highlights include:
- 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SSX 2 Door Custom Coupe (VIN 2G1FT1EW8A9104501)
This custom 2010 Camaro SSX is powered by a new 427cid LS block from GM with LS heads and TVS 2300 Eaton supercharger assembled by Harrop. To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Chevrolet Big Block, GM Performance Parts has brought back a modern version of the ZL1 to relive muscle car history. This is a re-tooled version of the ZL1 aluminum block created with the same tooling that created the original legend in 1969. Only 427 commemorative engines, each one numbered and stamped, were built before the tooling was retired forever. - 2004 Dodge Viper SRT-10 Convertible (VIN 1B3JZ65ZX4V101951)
This silver Viper with black interior is powered by an 8.3L V10 engine backed by a 6-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential. Other features include air conditioning, dual front air bags, 4-wheel disc brakes and run-flat tires on alloy wheels.
