SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. ‒ September 14, 2021 – An impressive docket of rare, highly coveted Ford-powered collectible vehicles will take center stage in Houston when Barrett-Jackson, The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions, rolls into NRG Center on September 16-18. Headlining the docket is the Competition Series 2019 Ford GT Lightweight (Lot #759) with only eight actual miles that will be selling with No Reserve.

“The Ford GT became a racing champion in 1966 and then again 50 years later when it won its class at Le Mans,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “And thanks to the hit film ‘Ford v Ferrari,’ the Ford GT has become a pop culture icon worldwide. The 2019 Ford GT Lightweight crossing our Houston block builds on that winning DNA and was developed for the serious track enthusiast. This truly rare performance car will lead an epic docket of Ford-powered collectible vehicles at Barrett-Jackson, ranging from custom Mustangs to a trio of second-generation Ford GTs, all available at No Reserve.”

The one-owner 2019 Ford GT Lightweight (Lot #759) can launch to 60 mph in under 3 seconds and hit a top speed of over 216 mph. The 600A Lightweight Package on the track-ready Ford GT boasts lightweight graphics, 20-inch gloss exposed carbon-fiber wheels, titanium lug nuts, titanium exhaust, polycarbonate rear engine hatch and an Alcantara-wrapped carbon-fiber steering wheel. It is finished in Shadow Black accented by carbon-fiber stripes and exposed carbon-fiber trim with a gloss finish. The GT’s interior is outfitted in the carbon theme, accented nicely by carbon-fiber trim, including the door sills. A purpose-built trailer designed specifically for the GT is included in the sale.

The trio of second-generation Ford GTs being offered with No Reserve by one collector include a black 2006 Mark II Ford GT (Lot #728), which is number 688 of 2,011 built for 2006; a 2005 Torch Red Ford GT (Lot #727) with 6,350 original miles and accompanied by service records, the original Bill of Sale and the original Window Sticker; and a 2006 Speed Yellow Ford GT (Lot #726) that is one of only two cars made in this color with a factory stripe delete.

“When racing icon and native Texan Carroll Shelby put his imprint on Ford vehicles in the 1960s, he inspired generations of racers and designers,” said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “Those enthusiasts continue to honor that winning legacy by restoring and tailoring various Ford vehicles to their own tastes, and our Houston docket features many prime examples of that passion.”

Lot #767 and Lot #443 are both officially licensed and certified “Eleanor” builds and each come with the Genuine Eleanor Certification paperwork, Eleanor body VIN plate and emblems issued by Gone in 60 Seconds LLC. They both come complete with a full start-to-finish build book and a 30×40-inch professionally assembled “Gone in 60 Seconds” framed presentation of the official movie poster, along with authentic officially signed photos of the lead cast members, Nicolas Cage and Angelina Jolie.
