SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – January 14, 2008 – Beneath clear skies yesterday at WestWorld in Scottsdale, Ariz., the Barrett-Jackson Auction Company welcomed 37,802 visitors to the 3rd Annual Family Value Day, marking a 15 percent increase in attendance from Family Value Day in 2007. The record crowd was treated to a surprise demonstration from Robosaurus, the car-crunching, fire-breathing mechanical dinosaur that annihilated an unassuming vehicle at the Ford Motor Company display. Additional highlights included free admission for all service men and women, police officers and firefighters as well as a sneak peek at more than 1,100 of the world’s finest collector cars, which will begin crossing the Barrett-Jackson auction block at No Reserve tomorrow at 2 p.m.

“Families and car enthusiasts from across the country came together to help kick off another stellar Barrett-Jackson auction,” said Craig Jackson, Chairman/CEO of the Barrett-Jackson Auction Company. “In only its third year, Family Value Day has become one of the most anticipated and action-packed days of the auction week. Most importantly, we welcomed hundreds of local service men and women, police officers and firefighters to Family Value Day at no charge as a special thanks for their hard work.”

Family Value Day attendees were also treated to nearly 400 automotive and lifestyle vendors, as well as tasty cuisine from across the Phoenix area. Barrett-Jackson’s dynamic entertainment venue, “The Garage,” was a crowd favorite as Scottsdale clothing boutique, Urban Kidz, highlighted the hottest styles of 2008 with a kids fashion show.

The action continues today with more sunny skies in the forecast and a 1 p.m. feeding for Robosaurus. Tonight, the automotive industry’s hottest celebrities and top executives will gather under the main auction tent for the Opening Night Gala.
