UNCASVILLE, CONN. – June 5, 2018 – On the heels of three collections crossing the block in Palm Beach, including the prestigious John Staluppi Cars of Dreams Collection, Barrett-Jackson announced the addition of 36 vehicles and nearly 100 pieces of automobilia from the Ashton Collection for the 3rd Annual Northeast Auction, June 20-23, 2018, at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. Highlighting the collection is a ’69 Chevrolet Camaro Custom Coupe (Lot #696), a one-of-a-kind Steam Punk custom powered by a 350ci 8-cylinder crate engine backed by a 700R4 automatic transmission. The entire collection, offered at No Reserve, adds to an already impressive list in 2018 for Barrett-Jackson, which has seen seven consigned collections sell in Scottsdale and Palm Beach – a total of 314 vehicles that combined brought in more than $23.3 million at a 96.6% sell-through rate.

“Dating back to the Ron Pratte Collection in 2015, our top collections have collectively sold for more than $67.1 million with a 98.2% sell-through rate – something that is unrivaled in the collector car industry,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “We pride ourselves in presenting quality collections to the best buyers in the collector car industry, and the collectors who are truly ready to sell their collections continue to seek out Barrett-Jackson for the best results. We strive to set the bar when we bring these collections to life at our events, and we’re excited to bring the Ashton Collection to Mohegan Sun for our 2018 Northeast Auction.”

The Ashton Collection brings an eclectic group of cars spanning the 1920s to 2000s, including an immaculate selection of Chevrolet Corvettes. Among the highly sought-after Corvettes is a stunning white over red 1954 convertible (Lot #700.1) powered by a 237ci 6-cylinder engine equipped with Blue Flame Tri-Power and a 2-speed automatic transmission. A 1962 triple-black convertible (Lot #698.1) features a 327ci 8-cylinder engine and a 3-speed manual transmission. Another Corvette sure to turn heads as it crosses the auction block is a 1961 Fuelie convertible (Lot #697) finished in beautiful red paint with white coves and a red interior. In addition, 2018 has shown the strength of the custom market, and Resto-Mod fans will have their eyes on a 1964 Corvette Custom Coupe (Lot #699) equipped with factory air conditioning, power steering and power brakes, along with a 327/396hp engine backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission.

“We’ve seen some great collections pass through Barrett-Jackson in recent years, and the energy in the arena from our bidders and fans make it an incredible experience,” said Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson. “From the custom roadsters of the ’20s to the selection of Corvettes and spectacular ’69 custom Camaro, the Ashton Collection presents a great opportunity for collectors, and we’re excited for it to cross the block at Mohegan Sun.”
