Description
Buick's 455 engine was the most powerful engine Buick built. The 455 boosted more displacement, bigger valves, a hotter cam and included standard cold-air induction through functional hood scoops. A total production of only 1,184 Gran Sport 455 convertibles were made for the 1970 model year. Fresh show detail, 455ci V8 engine, 4-barrel carburetor correct codes and VIN appears on the block. This features a factory GS hood and air cleaner, great-shifting Turbo 400 Hydramatic automatic transmission, power steering and power disc brakes. It also has a remote driver's side chrome rearview mirror, tilt sport steering wheel, and a very clean and crack-free dash. Other options include the very rare optional power vent for flow-through ventilation, push-button factory AM/FM radio, map light in mirror and Buick floormats. It has a great-sounding newer Flowmaster dual exhaust.
Original documented with GS Registry. Detailed and correct GS 455ci V8 convertible with Turbo 400 Hydramatic automatic transmission. Low production of only 1,184 units built.
