The muscle car has become an American icon due to the simplicity of the idea: Take a big engine, put it in a sparse, inexpensive car, and go drive the wheels off! Bucket seats? Why waste the money? Floor console? Needless extra weight. Air conditioning? Sure on your mom's car! Real muscle cars are about one thing - going fast. The Roadrunner clone pictured here is the epitome of this idea. Under the hood is Mopar's beefy 383cid V8 with what would have been a dealer-installed 'Six-Pack' triple carb setup. This bristling powerplant is mated to a hard-to find 4-speed transmission with a Hurst shifter for the best, most involved driving experience to be had. The minimalist styling says business from its blacked-out wheels to the blacked-out hood and cool, subdued Frost Green Iridescent paint. The only amenity is power steering (so that you can actually maneuver around parking lots and into your garage). This extremely nice 'B-Body' pavement-pounder is very clean inside and out, and it is a great way to jump into Mopar Muscle scene without spending a million dollars.
