Details
The winning bidder will receive the first 2015 retail production vehicle. A hand-assembled LS7 engine, the most-powerful normally aspirated regular production small block V8 ever, is the force that propels Camaro Z/28. Highest quality parts and precision assembly elevates the redline level to 7000rpm. Durable, lightweight components such as titanium intake valves and connecting rods coupled with a forged-steel crankshaft make the LS7 engine incredibly robust. The standard 10.5 quart, dry-sump oiling system distributes pressurized oil from an external reservoir to protect vital components under high-G driving conditions. At all four corners of Z/28 are lightweight, forged aluminum wheels wrapped in massive Pirelli PZero Trofeo? 305/30ZR19 summer-only tires ? ideal for lateral motions, like corner entry and exit. Camaro Z/28 features lightweight Brembo Carbon Ceramic Matrix? rotors and fixed monoblock calipers. The huge 394x36mm front rotors are paired with 6-piston calipers, while the 390x32mm rear rotors are paired with 4-piston calipers. Compared to similar-size, 2-piece steel rotors, the lightweight and large carbon rotors save 21lbs, while encouraging impressive stopping power and heat toleration ? ideal for track usage. 100% of proceeds benefit AARP Drive to End Hunger. For an alarming number of Americans age 50 and over, the worst downturn since the Great Depression and a slow recovery have made any opportunity feel distant, if not totally unattainable. This group faces choices and pressures unlike those of any other age group - choices no one could have prepared for - and those nearly 9 million people 50+ who struggle every day to put food on the table need a voice and an advocate now more than ever. That's why, in February 2011, AARP Foundation initiated Drive to End Hunger, a multiyear nationwide campaign to raise awareness and funds to address the problem of hunger among people 50+, and develop both short-term and long-term solutions to the hunger problem. **ALL PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT AARP DRIVE TO END HUNGER** **WILL BE SOLD AT APPROXIMATELY 5:30PM ON FRIDAY, APRIL 11, 2014**
