This customized 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible underwent a frame-off restoration and was finished in Deep Gloss Red. Powered by a Chevrolet LS1 5.7-liter 350ci V8 engine that was upgraded with a Weiand Ram Air aluminum intake manifold, billet aluminum anodized fuel rails and Spectre air induction producing 425 horsepower. The powerplant is mated to a 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission connected to a bulletproof Strange 9-inch rear axle. The engine compartment is fitted with polished aluminum valve covers, billet aluminum serpentine belt/pulley system, chrome alternator and chrome air conditioning compressor, polished master cylinder and booster. Additional features include QA1 coilover shocks, 4-wheel power disc brakes, power steering, aluminum radiator with twin-electric fans, ceramic-coated shorty headers and dual exhaust with chrome tips. The cabin features red leather appointments, along with a custom center console, sport steering wheel, tilt column and Dakota Digital instrumentation. Final touches include billet aluminum hood and trunk hinges, braided stainless line sets and a matching custom upholstered trunk. This custom Resto-Mod rolls on custom aluminum wheels wrapped in low-profile performance tires. From the George Shinn Collection.
