This documented and authenticated 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS LS6 underwent a professional rotisserie restoration completed in February 2025 by renowned Thornton Autoworks in Telford, PA. The restoration was highly detailed to factory specifications, with original parts being refurbished or replaced with NOS components. It is powered by a factory 454/450hp LS6 V8 engine paired with a correct Muncie M22 4-speed manual transmission and correct shifter. Power is delivered to the factory GY2 3.31-geared 12-bolt posi-traction rear axle, which is original to the car. The exterior is finished in Carolina Blue (paint code 926-98371), as noted on the original Build Sheet. Carolina Blue is a special-order paint color exclusive to the North Carolina sales district as a special option only for that region. Moreover, this is the only LS6 Chevelle finished in Carolina Blue listed in Chevelle expert Chris White's database, who inspected and authenticated this vehicle. The original Trim Tag is also in place. Some key factory features include the F41 Special Performance suspension, JL2 power disc brakes and a vinyl top. It also has the correct smog equipment, correct distributor and carburetor and NOS factory air cleaner. The white interior features a bench seat, floor shifter and AM/FM radio. This LS6 rides on 14-inch Magnum 500 SS wheels with correct trim rings and center caps, mounted with Polyglas tires, including a matching spare. The engine compartment and trunk are highly detailed. It was delivered new to Y. Z. Foss Chevrolet in La Grange, NC. The sale includes the authenticated original Build Sheet, Chris White's certification report, original owner's manual, restoration photos, engine rebuild video and receipts totaling over $100,000. 33,105 miles (title read exempt).
