Details
This 1994 Dodge Viper RT/10 convertible was delivered new to Bob Pforte Motors in Marianna, FL, and has remained in Mr. Pforte's private collection until several weeks ago, when it was titled in Florida from its original MSO and donated to the Florida Highway Patrol Advisory Council, an organization comprised of business, professional and community leaders throughout the state. The entire sale price of this vehicle will go to the Council, which provides financial and other support to the families of troopers and auxiliary troopers who have lost their life or sustained life-threatening injuries in the line of duty. The car is powered by an 8.0-liter OHV V10 engine factory-rated at 400hp and 465 ft/lbs of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec T56 6-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. This is an example of a first-generation Viper, which was designed in-house at Chrysler by Tom Gale and utilizes composite body panels over a tubular steel space-frame chassis. Finished in Viper Black over a Quartz leather interior, this car features fog lights, a removable soft-top, a removable rear window, zip-up vinyl side windows, a tonneau cover and side-exit exhaust outlets. This RT/10 is equipped with power-assisted rack & pinion steering, four-wheel independent suspension and four-wheel vented disc brakes with RT/10-branded calipers up front. Inside, the Quartz leather bucket seats are joined by a color-matching dashboard, center console and door panels. Interior appointments include air conditioning, an AM/FM stereo, a leather-wrapped shift knob and a leather-wrapped steering wheel that sits ahead of a 180-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,000-rpm redline. Auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level and voltage are mounted atop the center stack. This Viper rides on 17-inch tri-spoke alloy wheels mounted with Michelin XGT Z tires measuring 275/40 up front and 335/35 at the rear. The original Window Sticker showing $58,500 is included with the sale. 222 actual miles. **100% OF HAMMER PRICE TO BENEFIT THE FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL ADVISORY COUNCIL** **WILL BE SOLD AT APPROXIMATELY 3:30 P.M.
