Details
First introduced in 1922, the Austin Seven was the foundation for several automotive empires. In addition to its English parent, the Seven was, as the Dixi, the best selling car in Germany and later became the first car to be made by motorcycle giant, BMW. The car was also the basis of the American Austin which became Bantam. It was heavily plagerized by a Japanese industrial giant and introduced as the first Datsun car. Truly an automotive landmark. This example is from the earliest production run witnessed by the lack of a starter motor. Only a few of the first cars were so delivered. It spent many years in the renowned Harrah Collection before being purchased by the vendor.
