The coachwork on this example is known as an Owen Sedanca, or 3 position Drop Head Coupe. It was built by Gurney Nutting to the outline design of Captain H. R. Owen. The final design work was the responsibility of A. F. McNeil, who went on to make James Young a major force in the coachbuilding world. It has recently enjoyed an exacting, but very sympathetic, restoration by White Post. It is, as a result, one of the finest we have ever seen.
