In 1948 sir williams lyons introduced the xk120 to the world at earls court and it was an instant success. This 1950 xk120, painted its original color of silver blue, is a very early example of this car that has set many world records. The 3.4 litre engine has been modified from original. On delivery it produced about 160 hp., and now it should turn out about 210 h.p. It is fitted with high lift cams, 9:1 pistons, h8 sand cast 2' carbs and alloy flywheel. The engine has been modified to run on unleaded fuel. A racing cowl and windshield are included, as well as, a mirror cowl. Both as originally used for racing in the early 1950's. The top and side curtains fit nicely in back of the seats. The car also comes with a cloth tonneau cover and tool kit with owner manual. Most car restorers rebuild the brake wheel cylinders, on this car they are all new out of the box: new wiring harness, shocks, radiator, windshield and lights. The car is also fitted with the original tri-bar lights as used in england. Driving lights are also installed with halogen bulbs. Still not fast by today's standards but a real joy to own, show and drive.
